Established in 1919, Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club has a proud and rich history as one of Australia’s most famous and iconic Clubs.

Who Are We?

Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Life Saving Club better known as ‘Currumbin Surf Club’ or ‘The Vikings’ is located on Elephant Rock in Currumbin on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The Club was established in 1919 and has a proud tradition over 100 years of providing essential beach safety and lifesaving services to members of the public.

We offer lifesaving services, training and education courses, youth development pathways and surf sport activities to all members starting from our very youngest members, our Currumbin Nippers at 5 years of age.

With more than 50,000 beach visitations each year, our volunteers spend over 7,500 hours between September and May each season providing lifesaving services at Currumbin Beach including patrolling, performing rescues and preventative actions and administering first aid.
